Vishal injured in shoot

Vishal sustained injuries while performing a stunt sequence for his forthcoming film ‘Sathyam’.

According to sources, when the unit was busy shooting a chasing sequence in Sholavaram, Vishal, who had to climb on a fast moving, lost balance and fell down.

He was immediately taken to a hospital. It is said that doctors had advised Vishal to take a few days rest.

Directed by Rajasekar and produced by Vishal’s brother Vikram Krishna, ‘Sathyam’ has Nayantara in the role of a television anchor.

Vishal Vs Kanal

Vishal – Nayantara starrer ‘Sathyam’ witnesses many thrilling proceedings during the shooting itself. The tussle between the hero Vishal and the stunt master Kanal Kannan has become worse. Result? Kanal is sacked from the movie.

Saking of Kanal Kannan happened earlier too but director Rajasekhar, who was introduced to Vishal by Kanal, intervened and reinstated the master. But the problem between Kanal and Vishal is far from over, as Vishal is quite irritated by the master’s allegedly irregular attendance in the shooting. Kanal Kannan, it is said, took a long leave from the shooting recently and hence Vishal decided to get rid of him.

Vishal, who was in Hyderabad for the shooting, implemented the decision immediately. He called up ‘Stunt’ Siva and asked him to come to Hyderabad and requested him to direct the remaining stunt scenes in the film. Siva agreed and started his work immediately. Now the unit is shooting a grand fighting scene in Hyderabad under the supervision of Siva.

The real fight between Kanal Kannan and Vishal has sent some shocking waves among the unit members.

‘Sathyam’: Vishal’s gentle gesture

Vishal has proved to be a different hero in a scenario that is known for its male centric approach. Some of the leading heroes in Kollywood used to be very careful not to give ‘too much’ screen space to their heroines. They also tend to cut the scenes that could fetch a few claps for the lead girls in the theatres.

But Vishal, one of the big heroes, has a different approach. He is quite comfortable with Nayantara’s importance in his forthcoming film ‘Sathyam’. Nayan, who plays a TV reporter, meets Vishal, the deputy police commissioner, on her professional assignment. Nayan is said to be appearing through out the movie, besides having a solo song. Vishal, the insiders say, has accepted her importance in the story.

This is really a rare gesture in a field, where the heroines are synonyms to the formulaic role of ‘a pretty doll useful for romance and duets’. ‘Sathyam’, it seems, could well propel Nayantara’s career as an actor.
