Yaaradi Nee Mohini - Very good opening

Yaaradi Nee Mohini, film directed by Mithran R Jawahar which is a remake of the Telugu blockbuster Adavari Matalaku Ardhalu Verule, has taken a very good opening and turned to be a hit across Tamilnadu.

Late Raghuvaran who plays Dhanush’s dad is getting standing ovation in theatres.

Simbu and Nayanthara together again ?

Simbu (a) Silambarasan and Nayan (a) Nayanthara were the attention for all the eyes at the hunger strike in Chennai - in support of the Hogenekkal drinking water project.

Silambarasan and Nayanthara who broke earlier were forced to sit next to each other at the hunger strike at Chepauk in Chennai.

Since there was not enough, actor Radha Ravi who was seated next to Nayanthara gave his seat to Simbu. Both always avoided together in any function after their broke up was caught in an embarrassing moment. Buzz is that they did not exchanged words except one or 2.

Silamabarasan created headlines when publicity posters sprung up around Chennai of his Vallavan co-star, Nayantara and him kissing. However, despite maintaining a high-profile relationship, involving the press, the pair broke up soon after the film was released citing differences.

Private kissing images of Simbu and Nayantara locked in passion has shocked throught the film industry and elsewhere.

‘Silambattam’: Dhina out Yuvan in

Yuvan Shankar Raja, the favorite music director of Silambarasan, has been roped in for the film ‘Silambattam’. This has effectively puts Dhina, the original music composer of the film, out of the project.

Dhina however, has no regrets, as the decision was taken by Silambarasan after consulting him. Though Simbu, who has a special taste for music, has high regards for Dhina’s talents, he prefers Yuvan, as both of them work brilliantly as a team to bring out excellent stuff. So Simbu decided to go for Yuvan and he explained his feelings to Dhina, who gracefully accepted to step down.

The decision is also viewed by some as a two-in-one strategy of Silambarasan. Since Yuvan does music for ‘Kettavan’, Silambarasan might have thought that the time spent for the composing could be useful for both films.

The teaming up of the successful combo of Simbu and Yuvan has undoubtedly increased the expectations of ‘Silambattam’, which is growing on a steady pace.

Dhanush and Silambarasan team up?

The latest and hottest buzz in Kollywood is that Silambarasan and Dhanush might team up in a movie directed by Prabhu Deva. It is said that dance master turned director Prabhu Deva is in touch with both of them.

Silambarasan has reportedly confirmed that Prabhu Deva has contacted him for the venture. A Tamil daily has quoted Silambarasan saying that, “I am ready to act with Dhanush if the story is strong enough to cater to our respective talents”. There is no hint from Dhanush’s side about the venture.

Prabhu Deva, it is said, would commence the project after finishing his Hindi remake of ‘Pokkiri’ starring Salman Khan and a Tamil film featuring Vijay under the banner of Ayngaran International.

Tamil screen has seen many such sensational combinations in the past but this particular combination would be most surprising given the ‘not so ideal’ relationship between the two young actors.

A resolute Simbu?

Silambarasan  is busy with two films in his kitty-‘Silambattam’ and ‘Kettavan’. We all are aware that Silambarasan is pairing up with Sana Khan for this film. But there is more to it! Our reports suggest that there is one more heroine role in the film.

The search for this second heroine is going on in full swing. Starting from ‘Karuppusamy Kuthagaitharar’ fame Meenakshi to Sherin, the director of the film is on a heroine hunt. But seems like the hero of the film Silambarasan  is not too happy with the director’s list and wants to import a new face from our neighboring ‘god’s own country’.

Mmm… looks like Silambarasan has developed a fancy for chics from Kerala!

In the meantime, Silambarasan has self-imposed a rule on himself. He has decided to meet the press only after completing ‘Silambattam’ and ‘Kettavan’. The rule does not end there.  He has also made up his mind to not attend any cinema functions during this time. The reason - the hero has decided to meet the world only after giving a hit.

Let’s hope Silambarasan  hits the bulls-eye this time with ‘Silambattam’ and ‘Kettavan’!
