Ajith to fly to Hong Kong

Ajith, who is fully occupied by his cute little angel, was planning to get back to the work by later this month or by earlier next month.
Now the plan is changed and Ajith will resume his work by the next week itself. He will fly to Hong Kong to participate in the shooting for the film produced by Ayngaran International and directed by Raju Sundaram.  The shooting of the to-be-titled movie begins in Hong Kong.

It was earlier said that the movie’s title would be Akbar. Now it is said that the title would be changed. Other details including the choice of the heroine are kept as a secret.

Billa premiere around the world : Chennai, Malaysia and UK

Ajith is dedicating Billa to the superstar Rajini on his birthday December 12, 2007 by screening premier show. Though the movie is releasing world-wide on December 14, 2007. The movie will be premiered on December 12, 2007 at Sathyam Theater, Chennai, in which the RajiniKanth will be the guest.

Nayanthara and Namitha to attend international premiere

Billa team have even arranged an international premiere for the film in the UK and Malaysia on December 13, 2007.
Nayanthara, heroine of the film is attending the UK premiere.
Namitha another star of the film will attending the Malaysian premiere.

Billa -1980, promoted “Rajinikanth” to the superstar fame

As Ajith’s Billa is releasing on Novermber 14, here’s a recap of Superstar Rajini’s ‘original’ Billa released in 1980.

Original Billa which released 27 years ago in 1980 introduced a new generation of RajniKanth films. Indeed 1980 was a turning point for Rajnikanth which promoted him to the superstar fame.

In Billa, Rajnikanth reflected Amitabh Bachchan’s role, while Sripriya represneted Zeenat Aman’s role- Directed by R Krishnamurthy who was then called ‘Billa‘ Krishnamurthy after the billa fame.

Plot Outline:

Billa (Rajnikant) is a feared Mafia don in Madras, who is fatally wounded during an encounter with the police. Wanting to uncover Billa’s accomplices, the police commissioner trains a lookalike village bumpkin (also Rajnikant) to pose as Billa and infiltrate the gang.
